Seville Cathedral has two main entrances for visitors, and using the correct one saves you time on arrival.

This is the entrance for visitors with pre-booked online tickets. You will find the access control here and can enter directly without joining the ticket queue.
- Puerta del Príncipe (Door of the Prince): Located on the south side of the cathedral, facing Plaza del Triunfo. This entrance is for visitors purchasing tickets on the day at the door. Queue times here can be significant during peak season.

Getting there on foot
For most visitors staying in central Seville, walking is by far the easiest and most enjoyable way to reach the cathedral. The historic centre is compact and flat, and the cathedral itself is visible from much of the city. The walk from the main shopping street, Calle Sierpes, takes around 10 minutes. From the Plaza de España it is approximately 15 minutes on foot.
By Tram — MetroCentro (T1)
The most convenient public transport option for reaching the cathedral is the MetroCentro tram (line T1). The tram runs south-east from Plaza Nueva, passing directly along Avenida de la Constitución past the cathedral, with a stop at Archivo de Indias located on Avenida de la Constitución, close to the Alcázar Palace. From this stop, the cathedral entrance is less than two minutes on foot.
A single tram ticket costs €1.40. The same rechargeable TUSSAM transport cards used on city buses are also valid on the tram.
By Bus
Several TUSSAM bus lines serve the cathedral area. Lines C4, C3, 5, 41, 42, C1, and C2 stop at Jardines de Cristina, the nearest bus stop, approximately 650 metres from the cathedral. A single bus ticket costs €1.40, payable on board by cash or contactless card.
By Metro
Seville’s Metro does not stop directly at the cathedral, but Puerta de Jerez station on Line 1 is about a 10-minute walk away. From there, you follow Avenida de la Constitución directly to the cathedral.
The metro is most useful if you are arriving from areas of the city not well served by the tram or bus.
By Car — Driving & parking
Driving directly to the cathedral is not recommended. The cathedral sits within Seville’s restricted low-emission zone (Zona de Bajas Emisiones), and the surrounding streets are heavily congested, particularly during peak tourist season. Access for private vehicles is limited.
The best approach is to park in one of the paid car parks nearby and walk the remaining distance. The closest options are:
- Aparcamiento Paseo de Colón — one of the best-reviewed car parks in Seville, located near the Bullring La Maestranza and within walking distance of the cathedral.
- Parking Plaza de la Magdalena — a few blocks from the cathedral, open 24 hours.
- Parking Plaza de Armas — slightly further but a large, well-known option near the bus station.
- Jardines de Murillo — public parking on the eastern side of the old town, a short walk through the Santa Cruz neighbourhood to the cathedral.
